Philippa's Backstory

The story begins with the legend of the Myindo—humans and Wari have always at odds each other, so one day, a group of humans asked the Elemental Wari to help them bridge the gap between the two races and establish peace. These humans became a new race known as the Myindo, which were half human and half Wari. Unfortunately, the Myindo only caused more conflict, with the humans fearing them and driving them out of their cities.

A young Philippa awakens one morning to the voice of her friend Sharay, reminding her that they had made plans to play together that day. After breakfast, they head off to play ball, the village elder stopping them along the way and reminding them not to stray too far from the village.

After their game, the two of them sit under a tree and eat apples together. Sharay recalls that she used to do the same with her sisters, who have all since been captured by the MegaMy. Philippa asks how Sharay can stay so positive, and Sharay answers that she cherishes the relationships she has. Philippa is happy with this answer, saying that Sharay is like a sister she never had.

Some years pass, and the two of them are again playing ball together, when Philippa accidentally kicks the ball too hard and it flies into the woods. Sharay goes to get it back, only to discover that a Wari has taken it. Sharay attempts to reason with the Wari, but the Wari refuses to return the ball, fleeing. Sharay gives chase.

As she follows the Wari, Sharay overhears voices, and quickly hides behind a tree. Peering out to see what's happening, she watches the Wari she was chasing get captured by some MegaMy agents. Afraid for her life, Sharay attempts to escape without being noticed. Unfortunately, Philippa had followed Sharay, and unaware of the dangerous situation, calls after Sharay. The MegaMy overhear them, and Sharay catches up to Philippa and tells her to run. Though Philippa is able to escape, Sharay falls behind, and is captured.

Philippa feels guilty for not being able to save Sharay's life, and from that day onward, decides to train herself in combat so she can fight back against the MegaMy. More years pass, and in spite of the disapproval of the village elders, Philippa decides to seek out the MegaMy's headquarters. Along the way, she encounters a human girl, Gloria Rosebloom. Philippa is surprised to find that Gloria doesn't wish her harm, and ponders if humans and Myindo can really get along, after all.

In spite of these thoughts, Philippa continues for the MegaMy headquarters. She infiltrates the building, battles some of the MegaMy, and manages to help some captured Myindo escape. Upon returning with the rescued Myindo, some other Myindo decide to join her cause, and they begin fighting against the MegaMy regularly.
