Makoto, while on patrols as the Aiiro No Ninja, encounters a robber trying to steal a young woman's purse. Makoto is able to quickly fend him off, for which the woman thanks him. The woman introduces herself as Shannon, an American student visiting Japan to study unique cultures. Makoto offers to walk her home, and the two of them bond quickly. Makoto asks her to go to the library, so he can meet her again, but not as the Aiiro No Ninja.

Before long, the two of them fall in love and get married. Shannon expresses her lifelong desire to have a big family, and Makoto agrees that he's fine with any number of children, as long as they have a son to pass the Aiiro No Ninja traditions down to. Time goes on, and before long, they discover that Shannon is pregnant.

Unfortunately, when it came time for the child's birth, Shannon had some serious medical complications. She and the child were lucky to make it out of the ordeal alive, but at the consequence of never being able to have another child. Shannon apologizes to Makoto for being unable to bear him a son, but Makoto insists it's alright, and that he's just happy to have her and their daughter, who they name Sanori.

Though as time goes on, Makoto starts to wonder what to do about the Aiiro No Ninja traditions. After some serious thought, he considers teaching the traditions to Sanori, but only with permission from Shannon. Shannon is understandably hesitant, but Sanori, having overheard the conversation, is excited by the prospect. After begging her mother for permission, Shannon agrees to let Sanori have a chance.

To Makoto's surprise, Sanori was eager to follow in his footsteps, completely devoted to the task. Ultimately, she became the first ever Aiiro No Kunoichi, making a big name for herself in Japan. The very end of the comic alludes to the start of the Aiiro No Kunoichi series proper, with Sanori questioning her parents' decision to move to America.
